That led to some disturbing footage caught on video in which Conor McGregor and members of his team and entourage can be seen vandalizing a bus carrying fighters who were set to be transported to the host hotel. Fighters on the bus included Rose Namajunas, Michael Chiesa, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Anthony Pettis and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Michael Chiesa, who is still set to face Anthony Pettis on Saturday’s card, was supposedly injured with multiple lacerations to his forehead as a result of the chaos and can be heard on video moments afterward: “Am I cut bad? I don’t want to touch my face.”

“Conor went bananas and put a beating on the van that we were in looking for Khabib,” Chiesa’s coach, Rick Little said. “A million security guards had to restrain him. Mike’s cut up now. He’s got marks on him, for sure. I don’t think too serious. Everything happened so fast, it was just like we got jumped.”

McGregor apparently fled the scene with his crew afterward. It is rumored that the altercation stemmed from a confrontation between Conor McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov and Khabib Nurmagomedov that occurred on Tuesday earlier this week.

Lobov has since been removed from the card, per Dana White after talking with media following the incident.

It was confirmed by MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani that police are involved and were on-scene following the incident.

Dana White recounts the incident after speaking with police:

“Approximately 20 (to 30) guys were let into the building by The Mac Life guys, who are credentialed here (for UFC 223). They opened the doors for him. They stormed the building. Got down to the loading docks where the fighters were getting on buses and started to attack buses, throwing trashcans and dolly’s, things like that. They broke one of the windows and cut Michael Chiesa really bad. Cut his head cut his face. Rose Namajunas was almost hit, and she’s super upset right now. She basically left and walked back up to her hotel. They hurt one of our employee’s, broke one of our employee’s knuckles.

Obviously everyone is shaken up when 30 thugs storm (a bus). These guys are all cutting weight and getting ready for a fight. This is the most disgusting thing that has ever happened in the history of the UFC.”
