Septembers UFC Fight Night card in Rotterdam adds intriguing Welterweight action.
Leon Edwards will take on Bryan Barberena officials announced Monday.
Barberena (13-4 MMA, 4-2 in UFC) is coming off a TKO win over Joe Procter back at UFC Fight Night Nashville earlier this year. Prior to that he saw the momentum of an underdog-based streak halted by fellow rising star Colby Covington. Bryan defeated both Sage Northcutt and Ultimate Fighter winner Warlley Alves in back to back wins that both saw Bryan as the heavy underdog. Bryan in 3-1 since moving back up to Welterweight back in early 2016 and has 11 finishes out of his 13 career wins.
Edwards (13-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) is currently riding a three-fight winning streak, his best since joining the promotion back in 2014. His wins in this streak include Dominic Waters, Vincent Luque, and Albert Tumenov. Prior to his streak he has also accumulated wins over Pawal Pawlak and Seth Baczynski. He is a former BAMMA Welterweight champion and holds five wins by knockout and three by submission out of his 13 career wins.
UFC Fight Night 115 takes place September 2 at the Ahoy Rotterdam arena in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The entire card will stream on UFC Fight Pass, though the fight card has yet to be finalized.
