Andrea Lee vs. Heather Bassett for Inaugural Flyweight Title at LFA 4.

Andrea “KGB” Lee (5-2) came off a nine month suspension and quickly disposed of Jenny Liou this past weekend at Invicta FC 21 but it seems like that was just an appetizer.

Lee wastes no time getting back into action, she will fight for the inaugural LFA flyweight title against Heather “Handguns” Bassett (4-2) at Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) 4. Lee made the announcement via social media. The event will be held on Friday, February 17th at the Horseshoe Casino in Bossier City, Louisiana which also happens to be Lee’s hometown.

“KGB” has not been one to rest on her laurels. She regularly competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions to improve her grappling skills and is constantly on the hunt for a new fight. Bassett is a finisher, none of her professional fights have seen the judges’ scorecards and given both ladies’ penchant to aggressively go for the finish, this fight will most likely not see the twenty five minute mark either.

The Wisconsin native will undoubtedly head into hostile territory when she faces Lee. Coming off two straight finishes at King of the Cage it would seem like momentum is on her side but “KGB” barely broke a sweat in her early TKO stoppage of Liou and will be in fight shape and extra motivated to defend her title in front of friends and family.

This will be the third time Lee fights in front of a hometown crowd. Her Legacy FC title winning effort against Ariel Beck 13 months ago also took place in Bossier City. With her return, many eyes are fixed on Lee to see if she can reach or surpass the expectations placed on her as a red hot prospect. Winning the LFA title will raise her profile and undoubtedly up her chances of challenging Invicta FC flyweight champion Jennifer Maia. A win for Bassett will definitely make her name known in the WMMA community and can possibly even get her some offers from Invicta or Bellator.

LFA 4 will be headlined by an inaugural featherweight title fight between Legacy FC champion Kevin Aguilar and RFA titleholder Raoni Barcelos. The champion vs. champion headlined event will be aired live on AXS TV as part of it’s usual Friday Night Fights lineup.
