The Franchise Weekly Corner Report

UFC Pittsburgh Cowboy Vs Cowboy Preview
The UFC is set to put on a showcase next Sunday live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburg, and the main event is looking pretty entertaining right now as the headline reads Cowboy Vs Cowboy. The original main event was supposed to be Donald Cowboy Cerrone moving up a weight class to fight the Dirty Bird Tim Means at welterweight. After Tim means was popped with a drug test failure he was forced to pull out of the main event. After a few days the UFC found a replacement and they looked no further than the other Cowboy in the division Alex Oliveira. Cerrone is in need of a win after being embarrassed in his last fight against champion Rafeal Dos Anjos, and Oliveira who is currently riding a three fight win streak knows a win against Cerrone could boost him up in the rankings and possibly earn him a top 10 opponent. Other fights on the card include John Lineker taking on undefeated fighter Cody Garbrandt. This fight is possibly the 2nd most intriguing fight on the card with Lineker being possibly the heaviest hitter in the division and Garbrandt being undefeated there is a lot riding on this fight. Lineker is riding a three fight winning streak including two fight of the night honors. With a new champion in the bantamweight division the division itself has never been more open. Dennis Bermudez takes on Tatsuya Kawajiri and a sleeper fight in my eyes Alex Garcia and Sean Strickland. A big month of fights, and there is no better way to keep the month rolling with a little Cowboy Vs Cowboy action.
